Compact Pressure Regulators

Use of a KIM Module in any pressure regulator makes many new and innovative designs possible. Two are illustrated below.

Firstly, a combined pressure regulator and stop valve mounted on a 0.6 litre, 300 bar Luxfer Wrapped Cylinder. From a neutral position, when gas flow is shut off, the flanged knob is pushed and turned, and the outlet is opened to Set Pressure. If the knob is returned to the neutral position, pressure is shut off; and then, if rotation is continued, the knob can be removed from the Pressure Regulator body, for cylinder refilling purposes.

Secondly, a proposal for a super compact combined pressure regulator and stop valve, with preset fixed Output Pressure. The stop valve is located in the neck of the cylinder. Rotation of the pressure regulator opens or closes the flow of gas.

These designs are ideally suitable for use with portable oxygen systems, such as Oxygen for Resuscitation or Personable Therapy equipment.
