With experience going back to the 1940s he is distinguished by his research, writing and design.

He has been involved with Machine Tool Design, Hydro-electric Power Generation, Pneumatics for Automation, Survival and Rescue, Medical Devices and Underwater Breathing Apparatus.

He has carried out much groundwork in the promotion of basic principles of pneumatic circuit design through lectures, learned articles and books.
